Release Of Mobian 13.0, Mobile Edition Of Debian

Presented release of the project Mobian 13.0, developing the editorial team Debian GNU/Linux for smartphones and tablets. You can choose from assemblies with custom shells based on GNOME and KDE technologies – Phosh and KDE Plasma Mobile. The project is developed in the Debian infrastructure and, whenever possible, is based on standard packages from the Debian repositories, as well as a small number of additional packages. Ready assemblies prepared for the architecture x86_64 (2 GB with Phosh and 2.1 GB from Plasma Mobile), smartphone Purism Librem 5, and various ARM devices based on Qualcomm chips (Fairphone 4/5, Google Pixel 3a/3a XL, OnePlus 6/6T, Pocophone F1, SHIFT6mq), Rockchip (PINE64 PinePhone Pro, PineTab 2) and Allwinner Sunxi (PINE64 PinePhone, PineTab).

In the new version:

  • The transition to the package database has been completed Debian 13.
  • Most devices use the Linux 6.12 kernel (Librem 5 continues to use the 6.6 kernel).
  • User skins have been updated to versions Phosh 46.0 and KDE Plasma Mobile 6.3.
  • Provided stable builds for smartphones and tablets:
    • PINE64 PinePhone, PinePhone Pro and PineTab
    • Purism Librem 5
    • Google Pixel 3a and 3a XL
    • OnePlus 6 and 6T
    • Xiaomi Pocophone F1
  • Experimental builds have been prepared for Fairphone 4/5, PINE64 PineTab 2 and SHIFT6mq devices, which lack support for some hardware features such as sound and Wi-Fi.
