Jonathan Riddel Halts KDE Development Role

Jonathan Riddell recently announced the departure of KDE developers after being involved in the development of KDE since 2000. Known for creating the KDE Neon distribution and leading the Kubuntu project, Jonathan made the decision to leave due to disagreements related to the distribution of profits, employee rights, and management structure at Tech Paladin. This company was formed by former Blue Systems employees after the closure of their previous company.

In a statement, Jonathan expressed his feelings of loss for friends, colleagues, work, career, and family as he tried to contribute positively to the community. As he embarks on a new journey as a digital nomad, he reflects on his time spent on the cutting edge of the world.
