Mycompany 6.0: Open Platform for Small Biz Automation

The latest release of mycompany 6.0 marks the launch of free and open software designed to automate small and medium-sized businesses. Built on the lsfusion platform, this program offers features such as warehouse and financial accounting, sales and procurement management, customer interaction, project management, and personnel management.

The source code is now available on GitHub under the Apache 2.0 license, enabling developers to customize and distribute solutions under their own branding. Most of the code is written in the high-level language of the LSFusion platform, facilitating quick and easy adjustments to the system for specific requirements. To showcase its capabilities, a demo version with filled data has been prepared, along with a script for a swift installation of Mycompany in a virtual machine with Ubuntu.

The 6.0 version introduces several enhancements:

  • The addition of the “Projects” module, offering tools for task planning and tracking, employee assignment, time and resource management. Tasks can be categorized, prioritized, and visualized using Kanban boards and Gantt diagrams.
  • The inclusion of the “Personnel” module, featuring functions for personnel selection, wage calculation, and work hour tracking. The system enables the registration of candidate profiles, monitoring interaction with them, and automating the recruitment process.
  • The introduction of the “CRM” module, facilitating customer interaction management, including registering inquiries, planning activities, and analyzing communications.
  • An upgrade to the sixth version of the LSFusion platform, offering improved design and expanded capabilities.
  • Significant modifications to existing warehouse modules, calculations, purchasing, sales, retail, and production functionalities.
