The government has activated a protocol for the management of migrants after having located them because, according to the IGM, another important group could enter the same way on the Guatemalan territory since Honduras in the coming hours.

In addition to being a country of origin for migrants seeking to enter irregularly in the United States, Guatemala is also a corridor for thousands of citizens of other nationalities who want to flee poverty or violence in their country and try to reach American soil.
