Cost of replacing foreign aircraft by Russian

The costs of the development of civil aviation industry in Russia in the coming years will amount to about 320 billion rubles. About this in the sidelines of the Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum, said Vice Prime Minister Yury Borisov, reports Interfax.

According to him, such funds are needed, in particular, on research work, after-sales service. As sources are considered both budgetary and non-budget, specific financing figures are currently discussed.

Borisov explained that the planes need to be “put on the wing”, as well as to make the replacement of imported models dominant in Russia, to domestic. To do this, it is planned to attract the funds of the National Welfare Fund (FNB) to make beneficial rates of leasing companies and thus ensure business stability.

Earlier, the head of the State Transport Leasing Company (GTLC) Evgeny Dietrich said that for the initial period of operation of the Russian “aircraft of the XXI century” MS-21, additional subsidies are needed, the allocated money is not enough. He also suggested that for ten years, Russian airlines will refuse to purchase foreign aircraft, but only on the condition that domestic liners are equal to quality.

However, the head of the Ministry of Industry Denis Manturov in May indicated that the delivery abroad MS-21 in the coming years is not planned against the background of failure with the promotion of Sukhoi Superjet 100. According to him, the manufacturer will no longer be chased by the number of contracts.
