US: predicted problems with gasoline due to cyberatics on pipeline

US Energy Company Chevron predicted “limited” problems with fuel supplies due to cyberatics on the pipeline of the largest COLONIAL PIPELINE operator. This was reported by RIA Novosti representative company Tyler Kruzich.

On the east coast of the United States, problems with gasoline are observed after the COLONIAL PIPELINE operator closed the largest pipeline, and consumers began to buy gasoline massively.

“Chevron oil objects on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico Bay are not affected by the disconnection of the COLONIAL pipeline. We are actively working with disorders associated with disabling,” said Kruzich. He added that the duration of the disconnection could lead to limited supply disorders in some areas, judging by the current level of stocks on their own terminals and partners. According to him, problems may arise, including due to the disabling “logistics restrictions and consumer demand.”

As stated by US Energy Minister Jennifer Granholm on his page in twitter , Colonial Pipeline will resume pipeline Wednesday, May 12, local time (01:00 on May 13 Moscow).

Earlier on May 12, four US states (North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia and Florida) massively introduced the PE regimen due to the risk of fuel deficiency after the cyberatak on the Colonial Pipeline pipeline, in which Russian hackers suspected.

On May 8, Colonial Pipeline company, which is the largest in the US operator of fuel pipelines, reported that it was attacked by a virus-extortionist. CNN argued that the kiberat was worth a grouping of Russian hackers and their Darkside community. The TV channel stressed that due to the kiberataka, the work of the pipeline providing fuel 45 percent of the US Eastern Coast population was suspended.
