Al-Qaeda (a terrorist organization banned in Russia) has a new leader named Sword of Vengeance. Under him, the organization could again become as dangerous as under Osama bin Laden, reports the Daily Mail.
The publication notes that bin Laden’s successor, Ayman al-Zawahiri, is rumored to have passed away at the end of last year. It is reported that Seif al-Adel became the new leader. He is currently hiding in Iran. In the past, al-Adel served in the armed forces of Egypt, and the publication calls him “a brilliant and ruthless strategist”.
