Live distribution has been released Finnix 122 , based on the Debian package base. The distribution kit only supports work in the console, but contains a good selection of utilities for the needs of the administrator. The structure includes more than 600 packages with all kinds of utilities. The size of iso-image is 411 MB.
In new version :
- Improved booting from USB Flash drives on systems with old BIOS.
- Improved download speed.
- Reduced iso image size from 509 to 411 MB.
- Added “finnix” command to start working with the system.
- Added wifi-connect script to configure wireless connection.
- Includes packages iozone3, rover, iw, crda, wireless-regdb, mscompress, apg, ftp, ftp-ssl and
keyutils. - A man page cache has been generated to run the “man -k” and “apropos” commands.
- The design of the boot screen has been changed. The timeout for waiting for commands in the boot menu has been increased from 15 to 30 seconds.
