Three soldiers killed after Israel’s missile strike on Syria

Three Syrian soldiers were killed in a strike Israeli army on the outskirts of Damascus. SANA agency reports.

Another soldier was injured. According to the agency, the Syrian air defense system managed to intercept several missiles before they reached their targets. It is noted that the shelling was conducted from the Golan Heights.

The Israel Army in Twitter has confirmed a missile attack on Iranian Al-Quds Special Forces The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and the Syrian Armed Forces. The shelling was in response to the planting of several improvised explosive devices near the Alpha line separating Israel and Syria, with the aim of attacking the Israeli military.

The Golan Heights, which belonged to Syria since 1944, was invaded by Israel during the 1967 Six Day War. In 1981, the Israeli parliament passed the Golan Heights law, which unilaterally proclaimed the country’s sovereignty over the territory.
