Former head of Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus called protesters servants of devil

Aide to the President of Belarus and former head of Interior Ministry Yuri Karaev stated that any protester in Belarus is a servant of the devil and dark forces. He told about this in an interview with the Belarusian blogger Alexey Golikov , a teaser of which was published on his channel at YouTube .

So, in a conversation with Golikov, the official called the devil the main revolutionary in history and added that any “protestor” and insurgent is a supporter of dark forces and a servant of Satan. “Taking part in some troubles, as you said, and unrest, they are involuntarily for the dark side, for the devil,” said Karaev. He noted that he is a believer and decided to be baptized into Orthodoxy at the age of 42.

Earlier, Karaev said that the security forces have the right to break into apartments without warning Belarusians, if protesters can hide to them. He explained that law enforcement officers do not know in advance who can live in the house, and therefore they are allowed to open the doors to the house at any time of the day.

October 29, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko fired Yuri Karaev from the post of Minister of Internal Affairs, appointing him as his assistant in the Grodno region.

In Belarus, for the fifth month, mass protests have continued after the presidential elections on August 9. Protest actions are harshly suppressed by the security forces. Thousands of people were detained, many of them told about torture and beatings in the isolation wards. It is known about those killed by the protesters.
