Biden warned of “strategic difficulties” from Russia

US President-elect Joe Biden declared about confronting the challenges from Russia and China, reports TASS .

“We talked about the different strategic difficulties that we will face from Russia and China, and the reforms that we must carry out in order to respond to these challenges, to be in the strongest possible position,” the politician said.

Biden explained that the reforms mean “updating defense priorities to better counter future aggression.”

Formerly Senior Fellow, Institute for International Studies, Stanford University Katherine Stoner stated that the Biden administration needs to establish cooperation with Russia in a number of areas in order to be able to confront her. She stressed that “the post-Cold War picture of Russia’s weakness and decline is outdated.” According to Stoner, Washington must simultaneously work with Moscow and prevent it from damaging American interests inside and outside the country.
