Roscosmos took part in literary drawing room

On Sunday, December 27, 2020, Roscosmos State Corporation, A.S. Pushkin and the Moscow Provincial Universal Library held a literary living room “Onegin Space. A novel by Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin in the stream of time “within the framework of the online project” Literary living rooms “Word and Space” with direct connection of the Russian segment of the International Space Station.

The partners of the event are the State Corporation “Roscosmos”, the State Russian Language Institute named after A.S. Pushkin and the Moscow Provincial Universal Library. The initiator of the idea of ​​space literary living rooms was the cosmonaut of Roscosmos Sergei Ryzhikov. From January 2020 to April 2021, it is planned to host four more literary lounges with online connection from the ISS.

The focus of the first literary drawing room was the novel “Eugene Onegin”, the history of its creation, the peculiarity of the perception of time in the artistic world of the work. Experts and guests in the studio talked about how the romance influenced their career, professionally and personally, and also quoted some lines from the work.

During the online connection, ISS-64 crew commander, Roscosmos cosmonaut Sergei Ryzhikov spoke about his perception of A.S. Pushkin’s work and the role of literary classics in his life.

“The theme of life relationships is very deeply described in the lines of Alexander Pushkin’s novel” Eugene Onegin “, each person can compare their personal life and their experiences with the heroes of this novel”, – said Sergei Ryzhikov.
