Tomatoes from Uzbekistan will be allowed to be imported into Russia

From January 1, 2021, tomatoes will be allowed to be imported into Russia from 34 enterprises in Uzbekistan. This decision was made by Rosselkhoznadzor . This is stated in a message published on the agency’s website .

This decision was made on the basis of the information provided by the State Plant Quarantine Inspectorate about enterprises free from the brown wrinkle virus of tomato fruits, the department specified. Also allowed import of tomatoes from 15 Azerbaijani enterprises.

Previously it was allowed to import tomatoes and peppers into Russia from seven enterprises Uzbekistan. Vegetables have come under restrictions due to the detection of tomato brown wrinkle viruses, tomato spotted wilt and pepino mosaic. In addition, the import of tomatoes and peppers from Armenia into the country is limited. We are talking only about supplies from the Armavir region of the republic.
