The price of the traditional New Year’s crab salad has skyrocketed by 14 percent over the year – almost four times the official inflation rate. The cost of ingredients for the dish required for a family of four was 231.92 rubles. This is evidenced by data from the Taxcom fiscal data platform, RT reports.
It is noted that for the calculations, a classic salad recipe was used, which includes crab sticks, cucumbers, mayonnaise, eggs, canned corn and salt. So, the price of a pack of crab sticks for four servings was 99 rubles, eggs – 27.62 rubles, cucumbers – 34.25 rubles, corn – 61 rubles, mayonnaise – 10.2 rubles, and salt – 27 kopecks.
To establish the value of products, experts analyzed over 23 billion cashier’s receipts.
Previously it was reported that the price of Olivier soared by 6.8 percent in a year. According to the head of the Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina, ingredients for the salad have risen in price from 326 rubles to 348 rubles over the year.
