Reason for doctors spending night on floor near bed of a patient with COVID-19 has become known

Three paramedics spent the night on the floor near the bed of a patient with COVID-19, because the patient had a panic attack and could harm himself and the equipment. “Rise” was informed about this in the hospital №38 of the city of Sosnovy Bor, Leningrad region.

According to the source of the publication, at about two o’clock in the morning, a message appeared in the working chat that one of the infected during a panic attack began to pull out the dropper and tore off the oxygen mask. Three medical students volunteered to help and went to the “red” zone. “They were with the patient in the ward, calmed him, looked after him so that he did not harm himself. After that, the patient began to take oxygen treatment, returned to normal,” the clinic said. When the patient calmed down and fell asleep, all three remained in the ward, sat on the floor and stayed there until seven in the morning.

The patient’s condition is now stable. At the hospital, the team is going to be thanked in a solemn atmosphere.

Earlier in the network there was a photo in which three paramedics in protective suits lie on the floor at night near the patient. The publication said that they went on an unscheduled shift to help the person, and stayed in his ward until morning. Social media users admired their act.
