Technological platform “National Information Satellite System”, coordinated by the “Information Satellite Systems” company named after academician M.F. Reshetnev “(ISS, part of the State Corporation” Roscosmos “), in operation for ten years. It was established in 2010 at the initiative of ISS. It was included in the list of 27 technology platforms, the list of which was approved by the Government Commission on High Technologies and Innovations of the Russian Federation. The President of TP “NISS” is Nikolai Testoedov, General Director of ISS, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Over the past ten years, the number of participants in the technical platform has grown from 17 to 134. The total amount of funding for innovative projects carried out by organizations participating in the platform within the framework of the strategic research program is now over 8 billion rubles. The strategic research program of TP “NISS” includes more than 150 proposals for the implementation of scientific research, experimental design and experimental technological work in order to develop space information systems and increase the competitive advantages of domestic space technology in the world market.
The main prospect for the further development of the technological platform is the Comprehensive Scientific and Technical Program of the full innovation cycle “Global Information Satellite Systems”, the development of which will be completed in 2020.
A technological platform is a communication platform that unites participants of any organizational and legal form and form of ownership, including government agencies, professional associations, associations, non-governmental organizations, scientific and higher educational institutions. It is an effective tool for the formation of scientific, technical and innovation policy aimed at the development and modernization of the Russian economy.
