WHO recommends Pfizer vaccine for emergency use

The World Health Organization (WHO) has introduced a vaccine against coronavirus Pfizer – Biontech to the list of drugs recommended for emergency use, reports TASS .

There are currently several COVID-19 vaccines in the world. Thus, two vaccines are registered in Russia: “Sputnik V” and “EpiVacCorona”. On December 5, Moscow started vaccination against coronavirus with Sputnik V. The US and the UK have also begun inoculating the population with Pfizer / BioNTech. In addition, the drug developed by Moderna was approved in the country. British pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca has also announced the start of clinical trials for a combination of its AZD1222 vaccine.
