Belarus agreed on oil supplies from Azerbaijan

The Belarusian Oil Company signed a long-term contract with the Azerbaijani SOCAR Trading for the supply of raw materials to Belarusian refineries. This was reported by TASS citing the Report agency.

The contract is concluded for one year with the possibility of extension. According to the contract, SOCAR Trading will supply oil to the Belarusian side from Azerbaijan, as well as from other countries. The volumes of supplies under the new contract have not been disclosed.

In March, the Azerbaijani state oil company SOCAR sent the first batch of Azeri Light oil through the Belneftekhim concern through the Odessa port and the Odessa-Brody oil pipeline. In the Turkish port of Ceyhan, 90 thousand tons of oil were loaded onto a tanker.

On the eve of it became known that Belarus agreed to supply oil from Russia. According to the source, in the first quarter of the year Belarus will receive 4.5 million tons of oil. The information about the completion of the negotiations was also confirmed by the Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko . He did not give the parameters of the agreement, but called them beneficial for Minsk.
