An online database of persistent traffic offenders will appear in Russia

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia will launch an online database of persistent traffic offenders (SDA), told the department, reports TASS .

The digital platform will appear on the site of the department, it is being developed jointly with Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications . Thanks to the company’s database, including taxi aggregators and car-sharing services, they will be able to check their drivers for multiple traffic violations and revocation of driving licenses. At the same time, data on all violators, both Russians and foreigners, will be entered into the database.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs plans that the database will begin its work in early 2021, while the department did not specify a specific date for its launch.

In October 2020 traffic police called a violation of drivers that does not threaten a fine. If the trajectories of the car and the pedestrian do not intersect, then the driver is not obliged to give way and cannot be fined.
