Lukashenko becomes a delegate to All-Belarusian People’s Assembly

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko became a delegate from the city of Mogilev at the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly … This was reported by Telegram -channel of the press service of the head of state “Pool of the First”.

The meeting is expected to take place on February 11-12. On December 31, Lukashenko said that the forum will not receive the necessary powers to amend the Constitution and will resolve public issues, although the President has repeatedly said that the meeting will be devoted specifically to constitutional reform.

January 7 Lukashenko promised Belarusians “beautiful democracy.” According to him, the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly will establish principles for the functioning of the state for the next five years, and according to these principles, amendments to the legislation will be adopted.

The All-Belarusian People’s Assembly is a forum of representatives of all branches of government, representatives of key industries and business, science and health care, culture, as well as public figures. Their goal is to coordinate large-scale reforms in the country. In the modern history of Belarus, the Meeting has already been held five times: in 1996, 2001, 2006, 2010, 2016.
