Residents of five Armenian villages poisoned by water

In the Tavush region of Armenia, 16 people were admitted to hospitals due to water poisoning. This was reported by RIA Novosti .

It is noted that residents of five villages were affected. Most of those hospitalized are adolescents and children, including a two-year-old girl.

Seven patients have already been discharged, the condition of the rest is assessed as satisfactory.

On December 31, it was reported that a resident of the English city of Patchway got to the hospital from – because he drank five liters of water daily to protect against COVID-19. Luke Williamson, 34, spent about three days in the intensive care unit, hooked up to a ventilator. During the examination, the doctors found that the patient suffered from overhydration (water poisoning) – an excess of water in the body. Due to the critically low level of sodium in the body, the Briton suffered brain edema. The patient received the necessary assistance and was sent home.
