Russians were told about danger of pickles

Eating pickles increases the risk of heart disease because they are high in salt and sodium. The chief freelance nutritionist of the Department of Health of the capital told the Russians about this Antonina Starodubova , reports agency “Moscow” .

According to Starodubova, the total salt intake, taking into account other industrial products, including bread and sausages, should not exceed five grams per day – one teaspoon. For this reason, pickles can be included in the diet no more than once or twice a week.

The nutritionist also stressed that it is worth limiting the use of pickles for people with diseases of the heart, blood vessels, gastrointestinal tract and kidneys. In such cases, doctors can completely exclude such foods from the patient’s diet.

Earlier, nutritionist Nuria Dianova told that most New Year’s salads can not be stored longer than one to two days. She stressed that such dishes can be easily poisoned, but the degree of poisoning can vary. So, if there is no high fever or severe weakness, then you should not worry, but if the diarrhea lasts a long time, and the symptoms linger, you should consult a doctor.
