In the future, the coronavirus will be milder, but will remain among people. This was told by a Russian infectious disease specialist, professor Nikolai Malyshev , reports RIA Novosti .

According to Malyshev, vaccination is needed to reduce the spread of infection, but the virus will not disappear completely. He explained that the situation in 2009 with the flu will repeat itself: at first the disease was severe, the incidence and severity were high. Then the flu became a common respiratory illness.

The infectious disease specialist added that people will have to live with the coronavirus “for the rest of the time,” but it will become less severe.
