Two children injured in a grenade explosion in Ukraine

In the city of Kamenskoye, Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine, two children aged 14 and six were injured in a grenade explosion during a game. This was reported by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

On January 9, a 14-year-old teenager was visiting a 6-year-old boy at home. Children played with a grenade. After the explosion, they were taken to the regional children’s hospital with injuries to their arms, stomach and face.

It has been established that the incident occurred in the village of Karnauhovka in the southern district of the city of Kamenskoye. On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under two articles: illegal handling of ammunition and non-compliance with childcare duties.

Investigators continue to establish the circumstances of the incident.
