German Minister of Health Jens Spahn denied media reports that he is considering the possibility of nominating himself for the post of Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany. He stated this in an interview with Welt am Sonntag.

Previously Bild newspaper and Spiegel citing sources reported that Spahn is considering running for the post of Chancellor of the country and, if he wins, become Angela Merkel’s successor.
