The duty forces of the ground-based automated control complex of the Space Forces of the Aerospace Forces in 2020 conducted more than 500 thousand sessions of spacecraft control. In addition, in the course of carrying out combat duty tasks, the duty forces performed more than 180 thousand sessions of providing satellite control.
At the same time, the average daily intensity of control sessions and control support for spacecraft of the Russian orbital constellation amounted to about 1,600 sessions.
One of the tasks of the space forces of the Aerospace Forces is to launch spacecraft into orbits, control satellite systems for military and dual (military and civil) purposes in flight and use some of them in the interests of providing the troops (forces) of the Russian Federation with the necessary information.
