Husband and wife contract coronavirus and die after family haircut

A husband and wife from the US city of Chicago, Illinois, died ten days apart after the entire family contracted the coronavirus while cutting, reports The Mirror.

Mike and Carol Bruno have been married for 59 years. On November 20, their daughter Michelle, who works as a hairdresser, did her brother Joe’s haircut at his apartment. Carol was with them.

The whole family followed the precautions introduced in connection with the pandemic. They wore masks while cutting and kept social distance. Michelle had previously been tested for coronavirus and tested negative. Before her brother’s haircut, she was in self-isolation for several days.

However, all family members soon developed symptoms of the disease. Carol died in the hospital. Ten days after her death, on Wednesday, December 23rd, Mike died. He never found out about his wife’s death.

“We never thought that this would happen to our family, but it happened. This virus is very cruel and does not forgive mistakes,” Joe admitted. Now he blames himself for the death of his parents.

Joe reassures himself that Mike and Carol died at the same time and did not suffer without each other. “I would give anything to get them back, but I am glad that now they are together again,” he said.

Earlier it was reported that the wedding in the UK ended with a massive coronavirus infection. At least 50 guests fell ill with COVID-19, one of the guests died from complications.
