Ukrainians demand from Zelensky to buy Russian Covid-19 vaccine

On website of the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelenskiy a petition has appeared asking to buy the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus. Ukrainians demand to instill it on everyone.

The author of the petition was Nikolay Isaev . “Ensure verification, application and procurement of the required number of doses of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine to protect and safety Ukrainian citizens from coronavirus, as well as improve the socio-economic situation in Ukraine,” the message says.

According to him, vaccination should be free of charge from the state budget and charity.

Since December 30, the petition has received 17 votes out of 25 thousand required for its consideration by the President.

Earlier, the First Vice-President of the Academy of Economic Sciences of Ukraine Anatoly Peshko urged the president the country of Vladimir Zelensky to purchase the Russian vaccine against coronavirus infection “Sputnik V”. According to him, the Ukrainian leader should give appropriate orders to the government either to purchase a ready-made vaccine, or to acquire technology from Moscow for independent production.

November 14, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin told about the interest of dozens of countries in Russian vaccines against coronavirus. According to the head of state, many “have already expressed a desire to establish cooperation for the supply and joint production of these drugs.” The Russian President also said that citizens of all states should have free access to vaccination.
