Since December 14, search (“pip search”) in the PIP Python package repository has stopped . The reason is the high flow of XMLRPC requests that negatively impact the infrastructure.
The source of the requests is being identified, but, apparently, the reason is not malicious intent , but the thoughtless inclusion of “pip search” in some automated containers. Since it was previously it was proposed to remove the search feature, there is a high probability of postponing the resolution of the problem and declaring the previously existing search functionality obsolete.
