A special version of the operating system from Microsoft will receive an instant wake-up function. New operating system details are announced by the Windows Latest edition.
Reporters found in the disclosed OS support documents details about the operation of Windows 10X. Among others, they mentioned the Modern Standby function – a special standby mode for computers running an operating system. In this mode, the PC will be ready for use as soon as the user turns on the computer or opens the laptop lid.
In Modern Standby mode, a computer running Windows 10X continues to be connected to the network and process various processes – update information about applications, receive mail, receive system updates. It is noted that most of the built-in programs – Outlook Mail, OneDrive and others – will support this mode.
According to the authors, initially planned Windows 10X will be released at the end of 2020 in the period from March to June 2021. Unlike other operating systems, this operating system is based on Windows Core OS and is designed primarily for working on the Internet.
At the end of November information appeared that Windows 10X will be released in parts. First of all, Microsoft will provide a special version of the OS for weak computers, then the company will release an operating system adapted to work on devices with two screens.
