Close teachers from the village of Selenki, Smolensk region, told about the teenagers who raped and killed her. REN TV channel spoke with the stepfather and son of the deceased.
The stepfather of a 38-year-old Russian woman, Yuri Pelin, said that three or four teenagers terrorized the villagers for a long time and went unpunished. According to him, he has heard of five to six cases.
The 17-year-old son of the deceased said that he knew the attackers from childhood – they went to the same school. The young man added that he tried not to communicate with them, and for about three years avoided teenagers and did not maintain contact.
He explained this by the behavior of his peers: “They themselves did not very good deeds, behaved inappropriately. My upbringing did not allow me to communicate with them. I did not like this attitude towards me or towards other people.” The teen added that his mother “did no harm to anyone.”
December 28 it became known that two suspects were detained, a student of the ninth grade and his 16 year old friend. They are suspected of having raped a kindergarten teacher on December 23 and then strangled her.
Local residents told that the teenagers intended to commit a series of massacres. According to them, during the arrest, the investigators found a list of the suspects who were planned to be killed, the deceased teacher was in the first place in it. Presumably, the reason was that the woman reprimanded the teenagers and forbade her son to communicate with them.
It was reported that the teenagers have already been prosecuted for theft and were registered with the police. Local residents said that the suspects often entered empty houses, staged pogroms and arson. The villagers fear that due to their age they will be released and they will start killing again. The Investigative Committee reported that the suspects were taken into custody.
