Oncologist named cancer-causing cosmetic procedures

Oncologist and chemotherapist Andrey Bazylev named cosmetic procedures that can be unsafe if abused. Otherwise, such withdrawal can lead to cancer, writes Channel Five.

If we talk about procedures related to hair, then frequent straightening is dangerous, since preparations for it contain formaldehyde. The most careful thing is to be masters, since straightening more than eight times a month is unhealthy. Contrary to rumors, ordinary hair coloring does not carry any cancer risks – carcinogens are no longer added to the dyes.

Among cosmetic products, those containing dioxane should be avoided. This substance can provoke various endocrine disorders in the body, which can cause the development of cancer. Botulinum toxin injections have been shown to be safe and risk-free.

Bazylev also added that the ultraviolet nail lamp, which is used for manicure, can provoke skin cancer with frequent use. However, for this, it must be applied more than 10-15 times a month.
