Nutritionist named a way to slow down alcohol intoxication

She noted that water is considered a good solvent, has a diuretic effect and removes harmful substances from the body. However, her advice concerns primarily champagne and wine.

Water can be replaced with any other sugar-free drink. “If a person is uncomfortable drinking alcohol in this way, you can just drink water or drinks in between meals,” Rusakova said.

Drinking strong alcohol will be ineffective, the doctor said. It is better to eat them properly in order to protect the mucous membrane of the gastrointestinal tract. Salads, meat and cheese platters, and other foods that contain protein and fat do well.

Formerly freelance psychiatrist-narcologist Ministry of Health Evgeny Brun revealed the order of drinking different types of alcohol for the New Year. According to him, it is better to start with champagne and then switch to dry white wine. It is advisable not to mix alcohol with sweets and carbonated drinks.
