Zelensky named cause of corruption in Ukraine

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with the Focus newspaper named the cause of corruption in the country.

Zelensky said that he himself “does not take anything.” “Everyone knows this, so they don’t bring me anything. Everyone admits, including British and American intelligence services, that the“ top ”of our country does not take bribes. Therefore, we are“ shaking hands ”,” he stressed.

He expressed the hope that Ukraine will go “all the way to fight corruption.”

“Difficult, because big money. And it so happened that many people do not have endurance. Whatever they are, whatever they promise, whatever they swear on, in general people are weak [to money]” , – explained the Ukrainian leader.

Earlier in December, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine suspected the deputy head of the office of corruption Zelensky. According to the security officials, the official, while working for the Ukrainian State Construction Corporation, helped in issuing an inaccurate conclusion of a forensic expert, which allowed the company to misappropriate 81 million hryvnia (about 213 million rubles).
