Deadline for vaccination of 23 million Ukrainians against coronavirus

The Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko called the term of vaccination against coronavirus 23 million Ukrainian citizens, UNIAN reports .

According to him, they will be able to do this before the first quarter of 2022. It will take 40 million doses to vaccinate.

“If we start the campaign from January to April, these will be the first deliveries. We understand that they will come in small tranches until all manufacturers reach certain capacities,” Lyashko explained.

He added that the budget for the purchase of doses has been provided for 2.6 billion hryvnia.

Earlier, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed the law on citizens’ access to vaccines against coronavirus.

“The document will accelerate the entry into the Ukrainian market of vaccines, which will successfully pass clinical trials, and will positively affect the image of Ukraine,” it said.
