The US authorities are interested in an allergic reaction to the BioNTech coronavirus vaccine / Pfizer . This was told by the representative of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Peter Marks, reports Interfax .

According to him, a possible cause of patients’ allergy to the drug is the chemical substance polyethylene glycol, which is also included in the vaccine of the American company Moderna. It is noted that the FDA is currently studying cases of an allergic reaction to the vaccine.

Earlier in the USA there was there was a case of a severe allergic reaction to the Pfizer vaccine. An Alaska health worker developed an allergy ten minutes after the drug was administered. At the same time, the girl’s anamnesis did not report a tendency to allergies.
