Ukrainian Prime Minister promised record medical expenses

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal promised that in 2021 states on medicine will be record-breaking. It is reported by “Interfax – Ukraine”.

“In 2021, Ukraine will have record spending on medicine in the amount of almost 160 billion hryvnia, 30 billion hryvnia more than this year, and almost 65 billion more than in 2019. Over two years, financing of medicine will grow by more than 60 percent, “Shmygal said at a government meeting.

Next year, it is planned to increase the salaries of doctors by 30 percent, to equip 210 admission departments of basic hospitals and to buy almost 450 ambulances. “Funding for the fight against coronavirus will be provided at an appropriate level,” Shmygal added.

Earlier, Ukrainian doctors and nurses threatened to organize a nationwide strike if the project the national budget for 2021 will not include an increase in wages.
