According to the decision of the authorities, Belarus will close ground checkpoints across the border.
Earlier the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called the difficult situation with the coronavirus in the country. At the same time, he stressed that the situation with the spread of the disease is under control.
The country did not impose strict quarantine restrictions. Lukashenka attributed this to economic reasons.
According to the latest data, more than 152.4 thousand cases of coronavirus infection have been recorded in Belarus. In total, 1230 people have died in the country since the beginning of the pandemic.
