Ukrainians went to “tax Maidan”

In the center of Kiev, on Constitution Square, entrepreneurs began an indefinite protest action. On Monday, November 30, Ukrainian portal Liga.net reports.

About 200 people take part in the action. The protesters set up “guards”, set up a stage to start the “tax maidan” on Tuesday, December 1. According to the organizers, about 20 thousand entrepreneurs from all over Ukraine are expected to participate.

In addition to the abolition of the weekend quarantine, the protesters demand the adoption of bills providing for a simplified system of taxation, reporting and accounting of entrepreneurs’ income, as well as the abolition of cash registers. The protesters note that the authorities have already deceived them three times during the negotiations.

As stated by cured of coronavirus speaker Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov , negotiations of parliamentary factions on the demands of the protesters cannot be called effective.

November 11 in Ukraine introduced weekend quarantine, according to which from 00 : 00 Saturday until 00:00 Monday, only critical infrastructure objects can work: grocery stores, pharmacies, transport. Many business representatives and service workers protested demanding that the quarantine be lifted, which deprives them of their earnings.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, 732 625 people have been infected with coronavirus. Of these, 345 149 people recovered and 12 327 died from complications caused by the infection.
