Full picture of assassination of an Iranian nuclear physicist has been restored

Iranian nuclear physicist Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was killed by a remotely controlled automatic rifle. Fars agency has restored the full picture of the death of the creator of Iran’s nuclear program.

According to the agency, the armored car in which Fakhrizade traveled with his wife left the town of Rostamkol in the north of the country on the morning of November 27 and headed for the Absard settlement. At the same time, the scientist was accompanied by three more cars of his security service.

When one of the security vehicles driving at the beginning of the motorcade moved forward several kilometers to check the road safety, Fakhrizada’s car was opened fire from a Nissan van parked 150 meters away on the side of the road. A nuclear physicist, hearing the sounds of bullets hitting the body, assumed that they were caused by engine breakdown or hitting some obstacle. He got out of the car to find out what had happened, at which point he was shot by a remote-controlled machine gun that was installed in Nissan. The truck then exploded.

As a result, Fakhrizade received two bullets in the side. Another bullet hit him in the back, damaging his spinal cord. One of the bodyguards tried to cover the scientist with himself, but also received several injuries.

As noted by Fars, the assassination attempt took three minutes in total. Moreover, the attackers themselves were not on the spot at the time of the attack. The identity of the owner of the Nissan car has already been established – it is known that he left Iran on November 29.

Earlier on November 30 it was reported that the weapon from which Fakhrizade was killed , was made in Israel. In particular, this is indicated by the logo printed on it, as well as the specifications of the Israeli military industry.

On the death of Fakhrizada, who headed the Research and Innovation Department Ministry of Defense Iran and was one of the founders of the country’s nuclear program, became known on November 27. It was reported that he was the victim of a terrorist attack in the village of Absard near Tehran. Initially, it was noted that a suicide bomber was involved in the attack on the scientist.

The next day, the American special services accused Israel of killing Fakhrizadeh. It is unclear whether the United States was aware of the impending operation to eliminate the researcher. The White House and CIA declined to comment on the matter. The commander-in-chief of the Iranian army, Seyed Abdol-Rahim Mousavi, called Israel and the United States involved in the murder of the scientist. The Israeli Prime Minister’s office Benjamin Netanyahu does not comment on the situation.
