Ukraine announced need for an immediate lockdown

In Ukraine, it is necessary to immediately introduce a lockdown for three to four weeks. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of the country Arsen Avakov, reports TASS .

According to him, the situation with the spread of coronavirus in Ukraine is negative. “We need to introduce a lockdown as quickly as possible, lasting three to four weeks,” Avakov said.

The minister also added that the government is already addressing this issue.

Earlier in Ukraine recorded another anti-record in the number of cases of coronavirus detected in the last day. As of November 26, this figure was 15,331. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Ukraine, more than 677 thousand cases of coronavirus have been detected. 11,717 patients have died, over 317,000 have recovered. 348,077 people remain active patients today.

On November 11, the Ukrainian authorities decided to abandon the adaptive quarantine and introduce a weekend quarantine, which operates from 00:00 Saturday to 00:00 Monday. At the same time, the government does not rule out the possibility of introducing a full lockdown for the New Year holidays.
