A woman found a puppy who escaped from home and refused to return it to its owner

A resident of the English city of Ashton-under-Lean claims that a stranger found her lost puppy and refuses to return it. The Manchester Evening News reports.

17-year-old Melissa Baylis (Melissa Baylis) said that her puppy Nelly – a cross between Jack Russell, Chihuahua and Maltese – disappeared on November 21, while running around the yard. The girl believes that the dog was stolen because the trash can, blocking a small gap in the fence, was moved.

Baileys and her mother reported the loss to the police and posted an ad on Facebook. Later they received a message from an unknown woman. “You seem to have lost a puppy. On November 21, at about one o’clock in the afternoon, I found your puppy running through the streets of Ashton-under-Lean. The pet is all right. Since he has such irresponsible owners, I have no choice but to find his new home, “she wrote and immediately deleted her page.

According to Baileys, Nelly, who is two months old, lived with their family for only a week. Since the family has no proof that the dog was stolen, the police refused to open a kidnapping case. “I am very worried about her,” the girl admitted.

Earlier in China, the dog ran away from the house where he was left for a while repair, and walked 100 kilometers in search of the owners. The emaciated and lame retriever was spotted by a group of workers.
