Three-quarters of population warned of risk of coronavirus infection in Ukraine

Ukrainians were told about the specifics of the spread and mortality of the coronavirus and warned about the risk of infection for three quarters of the country’s population. This was told by an anesthesiologist, professor Sergey Dubrov , according to Telegram – Ukrainian channel ministry of health .

According to him, mortality from COVID-19 is low in comparison with other diseases. Nevertheless, it is the coronavirus that can lead to much more victims than diseases with a high fatality rate.

Dubrov recalled that 1.9-2 percent of those infected with SARS-CoV-2 die. However, this infection spreads much more easily than dangerous diseases such as tuberculosis. This disease is detected in no more than seven percent of the population, while ten times more people can become infected with the coronavirus.

“If 70 percent of 40 million, that is, 30 million, get sick, and two percent of them die, then, excuse me, the number of deaths will exceed all the combined indicators of strokes, heart attacks, tuberculosis and other diseases, not by percentage, but by the absolute number of people, “the professor concluded.
