Rosatom will multiply revenue from new projects by 2030

Rosatom , according to its development strategy, plans to increase its revenue several times on new projects of the corporation. According to him, in 2019, revenue from new businesses grew by 14.6 percent, reaching the level of 228 billion rubles.

As one of the most important directions, Kirill Komarov pointed to the field of ecology, since Rosatom was identified as the operator for handling industrial waste of the first and second hazard classes. “Today we are simultaneously moving along two tracks: building a system for handling this waste throughout the country and eliminating the accumulated environmental damage. There are a number of facilities that are in our work,” he said.

As for the new projects of the corporation, Kirill Komarov also drew attention to the field of nuclear medicine, the field of waste processing, wind energy, “a huge number of different developments in the field of new materials such as carbon fiber, as additive materials, each of which plays the most important role in the logic of adherence to sustainable development goals “. According to him, they “provide less metal consumption, less electricity consumption, less impact on the environment.”

“Today we have formed about 87 different product areas, of which we have identified a number as strategic,” he added, stressing that “in general, they are aimed at improving the quality of life of people.
