Lukashenka declared impossibility of “sticking” fascism to him

The President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko answered the question about the slogans of the opposition, whose representatives equate the current government with the fascist. BelTA informs about it in its Telegram -channel.

“As for fascism, you can’t stick it to me. Because I’m an international person. You see my policy. I have always been proud that we have no fights, contradictions between different nationalities. And we have under 100 nationalities. . I have always been proud that we have an interfaith world. I have always said that this is my pre-election slogan and in the elections, – everyone must find his own way to the temple, “he said.

Lukashenko stressed that he is not a nationalist, while fascism, in his opinion, is “the highest form of nationalism.” “An ardent nationalist can be a fascist. This is not for me,” the president summed up.

On October 30, Lukashenko said that the opposition planned to start a war in the country. According to him, the whole history of Belarus was woven from similar events, and even harder. He recalled the Great Patriotic War, noting that then the “nationalists” took the side of “bloody fascism”, and today “they justify themselves that they wanted to gain independence in this way.”

October 26, after the former presidential candidate of Belarus Svetlana Tikhanovskaya declared a general strike, a new surge of protest activity began in the country. The demands of the protesters have remained unchanged for almost four months: an end to the violence by the security forces and the resignation of the current president. Lukashenka does not believe that he won the elections in August by deception, and also calls all reports of bullying of detainees and prisoners fakes. He called the events of recent weeks in the country a “terrorist war”.
