Christine Mcvie, author, composer and performer of Fleetwood Mac group, died at age of 79

The British artist “died peacefully in the hospital this morning”, following a “short illness”, said his family on Wednesday.

His Cold and Soul Contrastlto has helped define classics such as “You Make Loving Fun”, “Everywhere” and “Don’t Stop”. Christine Mcvie, author, composer, performer and keyboardist of the British group Fleetwood Mac, died at the age of 79, Wednesday November 30.

The disappearance of Mrs. McVie was announced in a message posted on the group’s social networks in the evening. A statement sent to the press on Wednesday by her family says that she “died peacefully in the hospital this morning” surrounded by her relatives, from a “short illness”.

In the press release published online, her group thus pays tribute to her by saying that “she was really unique, special and talented beyond all measure”. The singer was a stable presence and personality in a group known for her frequent changes in composition and her volatile personalities – notably her colleagues authors -songwriters Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham.

During its best commercial years, from 1975 to 1980, the group sold tens of millions of records and was a permanent source of fascination for fans, because it transformed personal battles into melodic and convincing songs.

Christine Mc Vie had been married to bassist John Mcvie, and their breakup – as well as that of Nicks and Buckingham – was among others been documented in a famous way on the album “Rumours” of 1977, which is among the best sales of all time with more than 45 million copies sold.

Fleetwood Mac, co -founded by drummer Mick Fleetwood in 1967, was inducted into rock and roll Hall of Fame in 1998. Among the many other hits in the group are “Dreams”, “Go Your Own Way” and “Little Lies “.
