Cybercriminals of the Play group began to publish part of the stolen files two weeks ago. And promise to continue if the victim refuses to meet their requirements.

Play cybercriminals began to carry out their threat: after claiming the computer attack having targeted the Departmental Council of Alpes-Maritimes, on the night of November 9 to 10, 2022, the group of pirates began to Distribute data stolen to the organization on its site.

An archive of 13.7 gigabytes containing internal data from the Departmental Council was thus put online on their site. In these files, there are elements related to the management of human resources of several entities within the Departmental Council as well as documents used within the framework of regional planning projects in the department.
