Footballer Benjamin Mendy considered not guilty of six rapes

The popular jury who judged the player on Friday in the United Kingdom on Friday, did not reach a verdict concerning two other accusations, one for rape and the other for attempted rape.

After five months of trial, the French footballer Benjamin Mendy was declared not guilty, Friday, January 13, of six rapes and a sexual assault by a popular jury in the United Kingdom, which failed to reach a Verdict concerning two other accusations, one for rape and the other for attempted rape.

The prosecutor explained that he would ask for a new trial for these last two counts. The 2018 world champion will be re -joined in England from June 26.

28 years old, the French defender, suspended for more than a year by his club, Manchester City, had been tried since the beginning of August at the Chester Court. Accused of seven rapes, an attempted rape and sexual assault, he incurred life prison.
