After hacking Norton password manager, almost 1 million accounts were blocked

GEN Digital, the Norton Lifelock maternal company, said that as a result of the recent cyber attack on Norton Lifelock 925,000, inactive and active accounts were blocked.

According to the company representative, the systems were not compromised, but attackers can use stolen accounts and gain access to other unrelated accounts. IB specialists of the company monitor and mark accounts with suspicious attempts to enter the system, and also require customers to lose their passwords at the entrance to the system.

Roger Graims from Knowbe4 noted that users installed weak passwords to enter the Norton password manager. Hackers were able to guess these passwords and gain access to the account.
