using Librelec Turning any computer into a media center, which is no more difficult to work with a DVD player or television end. The basic principle of the distribution “everything just works”, to obtain a completely ready to work the environment, just load Librelec from a Flash drive. The user does not need to take care of maintaining the system in the current state – the distribution system uses the automatic loading and installation of updates, activated when connecting to the global network. It is possible to expand the functionality of the distribution through a system of additions that are established from a separate repository developed by the developers of the project.
The distribution does not use the package base of other distributions and is based on its own developments . In addition to the standard capabilities of Kodi, the distribution provides a number of additional functions aimed at maximum simplification of the work. For example, a special configuration addition is developing, which allows you to configure network connection parameters, control the parameters of LCD screens, allow or prohibit automatic installation of updates. Also, opportunities such as using the remote control (possibly through the infrared port and via Bluetooth), the organization of joint access to files (the Samba server), the built-in Bittorrent Transmission, automatic search and connecting local and external drives are also provided.
In the new issue:
